Produce a museum exhibit book based on the originally designed exhibition concept.
INSPIRATION
The interweave of textile and women's relationships, both which are strengthened when multiplied. Also, the beautiful and rare intersection of the stroke in the "W" character as seen in the Sabon typeface.
PROCESS
Exhibition concept was based on the young women who worked in the textile factories during the Industrial Revolution. Their communal style of living and working together helped form deep relationships. As a group, they realized they had more power when approaching an employer for better wages as well as living and working conditions. From this experience, they learned they could influence their lives and many joined the Suffrage Movement to work toward gaining the right to vote.
Thorough research conducted to provide an accurate historical perspective. Extensive editing throughout the body of text. All images were processed through Photoshop to achieve value consistency.
CREATIVE BRIEF
Create three magazine spreads and original editorial illustrations. Articles must relate to one another and be designed for one magazine.
INSPIRATION
The enigmatic, highly successful entrepreneur, Elon Musk and his premium performance electric car, the Tesla Model S. Additionally, the mobile application, which is an industry game-changer, is setting the standard of how smart phones interact with automobiles. Format is based on WIRED magazine.
PROCESS
Personal interaction with the vehicle and mobile application. Traditional research on Musk and the technical aspect of the vehicle including the original patent for the engine coil. Study of WIRED magazine layout and applied modifications to make it uniquely my own. Use of three colors (purple, aqua and teal) are found within each spread as well as within each illustration.
CREATIVE BRIEF
Produce a 30-second multimedia commercial for The Grommet website highlighting one aspect of their unique products with a purpose.
INSPIRATION
Hands are used to create, order, give and use The Grommets unique gifts.
PROCESS
Originally a group assignment, I produced the commercial on my own. Editing sound and video from The Grommet website and blended it with music I purchased and produced original photos and video. Attention to detail on the transition of elements as well as staying within the structured time frame for a 30-second spot.
CREATIVE BRIEF
Create an identity for a bar. Describe target audience.
INSPIRATION
Appealing to the educated urban engineers and hi-tech professionals. Build a jazz bar.
PROCESS
Researched tech industry professions, job descriptions and musical terms. Discovered zero kelvin equals absolute zero. Chose drumsticks and a drum set top hat to give the viewer the immediate 'visual sound' of jazz playing.

Develop brand position for Wild Basin park.
INSPIRATION
The Golden-cheeked Warbler who makes its home exclusively in Central Texas. The cedar and oak tree materials are becoming scarce but are necessary for nest-making for the warbler.
PROCESS
Thoroughly researched the park, bird, and logistics. Created logo and branding system including environmental graphic design structures (not shown).
CREATIVE BRIEF
Create hotel identity. Create new hotel experience.
INSPIRATION
The Spanish destination of Mallorca, Spain. The hotel location would be in southern California which has a similar climate and terrain as Mallorca. City dwellers could submerged in food, music and the Mediterranean relaxed vibe that would create the experience and memories of an exotic excursion.
PROCESS
Researched Spanish architecture, interior design, and focused on the classic Spanish tile design. Developed several version of the logo. Version shown here is outlined on rustic wood.

Rebrand an existing retail shop.
INSPIRATION
Popular women's jewelry and leather shop. Company's history with the symbol of a heart. Edwardian script typeface for its elegant and curvilinear style.
PROCESS
Explored various typefaces. Selected and modified the Edwardian uppercase B. Created open heart design. Created cutout at the intersection of the B and heart.
